"Grandma and her Twins" recounts the story of Ma Zama, her daughter Wonum, and her grandsons. When war breaks out in Bingo, Ma Zama and her daughter flee to different locations. Wonum falls in love with a foot soldier and becomes pregnant. After giving birth, Wonum entrusts her twins to her mother and seeks refuge in Batou, where she works as a waitress. Ma Zama and the twins settle in an abandoned house in Tatum village. Encountering many daily problems, she curses the twins' father for impregnating and abandoning her daughter. To make ends meet, Ma Zama resorts to begging, joining other beggars at the Tatum Central Mosque. She soon discovers that the twins possess magical powers. To rid them of their mystical practices, she must perform a ritual in Bingo. How will she get to Bingo in the midst of war? What becomes of the foot soldier?
