Faith in Heavenly Daze

Grace in Autumn is aptly titled, because the tale of the townsfolk of Heavenly Dazy dips into grace under fire. While I have read the first three books in this series, this is the one that really made me think. When the island is inundated with mail sent to the Angels of Heavenly Daze the town is split in how to handle the requests. Most of the people want to ignore the mail, to not worry about the problems of others, as they all have their own...Babette is worried about finances and replacing a leaky roof, Olympia is worried about losing her beloved Edmund, Georgie is worried his parents are heading towards divorce, and Birdie is worried about Capt. Salt....and so finding a way to respond to the pleas of help are met with vairous responses. Birdie wants to send money to a family in need while others are so opposed to her plan in fear others will follow requesting handouts that can not be supplied. Meanwhile, the true angels of the island are working behind the scenes trying to aid their charges reach conclusions that meet everyones needs. This book removed my blinders regarding some of my own thoughts and choices. The simple but powerful statement "We are the Father's hands on earth" made me think. I too have budget issues, I struggle to make ends meet, but I can do things for others who may have lost or never had faith that God will provide for us. I may smile at someone who hasn't had someone acknowledge them in a long time, or somehow encourage someone who felt alone. And I can trust that God will provide for my needs. I needed this reminder and am glad in the gentle stories of Heavenly Daze, I'm assured that having faith is where my future lies...

Awesome! I fell in love with Heavenly Daze. It is truly inspiring to know that the Spirit of the Lord comes through even a fictitious story, which means that the Spirit of the Lord dwells within the authors. Island life of a heavenly proportion.

Set on the small Island of Heavenly Daze off the coast of Maine, where angels live amongst the inhabitants, this second book in the Heavenly Daze Series is nothing less than superb. A refreshing look at real people dealing with the dilemmas of everyday life faced with moral obligations that might just make one think twice. Ideally the angels and their helpful countenance are always close behind to shed some light and guide our characters down the right path.This second book takes place during the month of November of the same year as the first book. New characters are expanded upon and some of our old favorites say good-bye. An Internet e-mail ploy indicates that the island is a place to request miracles, and the mail is piling up. Love is on the horizon but the blossom has yet to bloom.The third book in the series, titled A WARMTH IN WINTER, takes place in December. I'm sure many of these questions will be answered in these poignant novels about a community that takes care of it's own. These are feel good books similar to Jan Karon's MITFORD SERIES. The message is simple, but profound

I just wanted to take a moment to comment on the Heavenly Daze series. I have just finished the second book, and am looking forward to the next one. I pass these books along to my friends at church, and they also are enjoying the series. There are a lot of books around about angels, but this one tops them all to me, and I believe it to be the most Biblically sound about the real duties and missions of angels. I think we tend to either "overemphasize and romanticize" angels, or "ignore" them completely. Because of all the "hoopla" created by Hollywood over angels, and their gross mis-interpretations of them, people don't understand the true mission of angels, and that angels really are a part of God's creation. I just really loved the interpretation of scriptural angels.
