This is the third book in a short collection of verse created during worship. Written in accessible language, drawing on vivid descriptions of small moments in time or thought, Grace and Intimacy With God is published to inspire, encourage and enlighten the reader as they consider who they are and why they have been chosen by a magnificent creator God. The first section, Grace, offers descriptions of wonder, understanding and sometimes confusion at the amazing gift of grace. The second section, Intimacy with God, explores private conversations, fears and hopes in our daily walk of faith. The author, Bernard Clarke, wrote the verse in this book as a response to God in worship. He is not a scholar of poetry or literature, just an honest believer on his own, imperfect journey to receive and share the love of God through Jesus Christ. He lives in Staffordshire in the United Kingdom. Everything compiled here came from an inspiration set within a moment of devotion. Often a flow of thought came from hearing or reading a phrase shared by another in public praise. Such moments were not always part of a deeply spiritual devotion; often they came in a short space of creative clarity in an otherwise noisy, distracted day. Further books in the Words of Worship series will be published during 2023.
