This book deals with SEXUAL HARASSMENT that is contained in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The harassment is intense-so much so, that National Youth Sex Cult becomes a fitting acronym for the scheme. That's what the NYSC is, at least to the author of this book.
Who originated the NYSC? The answer is General Yakubu Gowon (rtd), ostensibly to keep Nigeria one, whereas he had been a party to North's secessionist cravings; and, up to now, he has refused to write any book to tell his side of the story.
However, there is a dark side to the NYSC scheme, which gives latitude for youths to freely express their most base emotions while being protected by isolation and distance from home, with the result that youths, who heretofore were morally chaste, returned home, after the NYSC one-year, as thoroughly prostituted and debauched.
This book, which is written by an insider, throws light on the dark side of the NYSC and shows how the scheme creates fertile ground for a sex cult, corrupts Nigerian youths, and why the scheme should be scrapped with immediate effect.
