Pleasantly suprised by what this book has to offer. Great book to have on your shelf.

Beginner approved

I have been really interested in growing gourds for sculpture. I could not have found a better book. The author states in the beginning that this book is everything she wished she had known when she started. I am so glad for her wonderful talent of simplifying concepts and explaining in depth the history, biology, and production of gourds!

LOADS OF INFO, GREAT IDEAS!

This really is a complete book for gourds. Gourds for food, crafting and Medicine. It tells you all about planting, pests, diseases and common remedies. Lots of suppliers for seeds and dried gourds as well. Discriptions of the grown gourds and pictures -- Great pictures through out and well done drawings. 121 pages of pure intrest for the gourd lover!

A must for the home gardener !

As a novice gourd grower, I found this book to be an excellent, easy to follow guide on all aspects of gourd growing. The photos were a big plus! This is THE book for beginning gourders. If you can only buy one book on gourding, this is the one!

Wonderful, informative book on growing gourds.

Last year it was a jungle in my garden,the gourd plants had taken over and I was at a loss as to what to do. This book has helped me 100% on my cultivation of gourds. It covers trellising, pruning, common pests and problems. A great book for the novice or seasoned gardener who might need a reminder of a few things (like me).

Excellant source for beginners on the art of gourd growing.

This is an excellant book. It gives you very good explaination on growing gourds and what you should need and the different types of gourds. Also, prunning, types of fertilizers. Instruction on making arbors, trellis for the gourds. It's a wonderful book that every gourdhead must have.
