In the years leading up to 2050, innumerable ecological disasters and famines run rampant. The air and sea are hopelessly contaminated and children have to attend school in safety masks.

After studying and interpreting the vast environmental problems across the globe, Dr. Richard Whisenhunt attributes much of it to pollution and realizes that the end of the world could be at hand. Unfortunately, nobody listens to him until it is too late.

As the effects of man's tampering of the earth - radioactive smog clouds, hideously mutated animals, destruction of the ozone layer - rage out of control, the world leaders hurtle blindly toward a final confrontation, ignoring the social chaos left in their wake.

Nature is going crazy right before our very eyes. The sky is populated with poison. Volcanoes thunder anew. People devour one another. Is there any rescue at all?
