Em fell in love with a man that she had never expected to fall in love with.
And now, whenever that man wanted to, with his voice and his soft touches, he would melt her like chocolate on a hot summersday. And he did so again and again. And she loved it.

But why did he have to visit the other woman on the western part of the island whenever that woman called?
And why did that other woman wash his clothes?
And why, on the second day after Em had given him the old brass candelabre and a King chair, did that woman visit him on his farm, bringing an iron candelabre and removing the brass candelabre?
And why did he tell Em that the other woman had brought a candelabre as well as a King chair? As if he had forgotten how he had visited Em and he saw the King chair. And he parked by her garage and loaded the brass candelabre and the chair into the boot of his car.
But how come Em knew that it was an oak chair with dark green wollen cushions, when Em had never visited his farm?

Was Em loosing her mind? And was she loosing herself and her dignity?
