A Modern Day Steinbeck

The stories in this book capture the voice of a child becoming a young man who does not quite fit in - reminiscent of Steinbeck, but better because they are more authentic. Steinbeck was the outsider looking in at this community, Gordo tells the story from the inside. An amazing collection of interconnected stories.
