love it!

I read this series of books as a little girl. The books are out of print now, and many libraries don't carry it. It is a fairly girly book, but even my 6 year old boy loves it. I have the complete series with the exception of Rag Doll Press (which I am looking for!) and I would highly recommend these books to anyone, especially those with girls aged 4-9.

Goose Eggs delights!

I stumbled on this series about 15 years ago when my daughters were little and have rediscovered Taylor's delightful text and illustrations again with my niece. This book is part of a series with the charmingly eccentric Miss Biscuit , a retired nanny and her two talking rag dolls; Violet, the more studious of the two and Ruby Buttons, the rag doll with heart and a love of animals. In this slim volume, Miss Biscuit buys a goat but it comes with two strings attached, Hannah and James Goo/eese. Violet becomes less repressed by the end of the book and as you guessed there are more than two geese at the finish. I'm hanging on to my copy though!!
