Gooper's Magic Scooper is a fictional account of how an elderly neighbor, Mrs. Whineycut, helps Thea, a struggling, single mother manage her work-time as a writer at home by helping Suzi, her eight year old daughter, train her spirited puppy, Gooper.
Unexpected magic and lots of funny chaos unfolds when Mrs. Whineycut first rings her new neighbor's door-bell holding a bag, filled with Gooper's poop
Why all the commotion ... Where is Gooper supposed to poop? ...
Mrs. Whineycut's gentle and persistent guidance helps Suzi train Gooper. Once Gooper learns some commands, Mrs. Whineycut gives Suzi a magical pooper-scooper, made by her late husband. The magical scooper allows dog-poop, once deposited into it, to disappear.
Suzi and Thea are thankful for Mrs. Whineycut's guidance and magical gift. Thea takes notes of Mrs. Whineycut's dog-training for writing ideas. Plus, Suzi decides to start her own journal and asks Mrs. Whineycut to join an afternoon reading-group. Mrs. Whineycut is delighted and continues to share more dog-training ideas. A win-win for everyone
Even Gooper dreams to 'paw-write' his own doggie stories
