Goodness Gracious Gulliver Mulligan is a fabulous read!A book about a little boy who is so BIG, he is often alone and without a friend. The author choses captivating names for the characters such as Gulliver's teacher,Mrs.Honeytree and the principal, Mrs.Pumpkinhead.The book is beautifully illustrated, very colorful, alive and amusing! My children loved the book.My 6 year old carried the book around for days;my 9 year old, who is also a "big" little boy could easily relate to poor Gulliiver and his troubles;my three year old delighted in just trying to say the clever name of "Gulliver Mulligan". The book has a nice ending. It teaches children, that being different is not a bad thing.Gulliver was eventually accepted and loved by his classmates-even though he "looked" quite differnt.I highly recommend this children's book.
