Good Hearts Deserve Better

Madeleine Ridge was married to Curtis Kingston and they had two children; Raymond Pryce and Bradley Sivetts. Curtis was charcoal black while his wife was white, and only this difference made Madeleine 's mother, Olivia Pathgate to not accept their relationship. While still married, Curtis became attracted to an ex-stripper called Carol Copperfield, who he saw performing in his birthday bash. Carol and Curtis became parents to Leo. In an effort to strengthen the sparks of their love, the couple set on a journey to Howe Irina island, where a certain witchdoctor made Madeleine and Curtis to be oceans apart in their relationship and Carol to be the 'one' for Curtis. Madeleine filed for a divorce from Curtis after realizing that he was having a roving eye and at the time, Carol was now an item with another man, after 'milking' Curtis of everything.

Finding it difficult to move on, Curtis ended up gunning down Carol and her beau and later turned the gun on himself. Fragile from an unfit marriage, Madeleine was hooked by a young man called Jake Billigan who in the initial stage of their relationship proved to be all that a woman needed from a man. In their relationship, Jake turned himself in to a gold-digger who only wanted Madeleine 's wealth and Madeleine did not see this. Having reaped enough, the bloke married Tabeth Elliott leaving Madeleine depressed. With time, Madeleine Ridge beat depression. It was here in a psychiatric hospital that she met Prince Carl Edwards, the son of Queen Bryceleah Amara (the ruler of Macaw kingdom). This royal later popped the question to Madeleine, thereby proving that indeed her good heart was made to wait for what was better.
