GO/NO GO provides both the novice and experienced builder, developer or renovator with the tools to take the good idea project down the feasibility path with minimum risk and protection of investment... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I've been using Mark Noe's GO/NO GO guide for some time now and regard it as one of the most valuable tools I've encountered for managing real estate development and construction projects. This concise, practical, pragmatic handbook provides a quick reference to most construction and development activities that I have encountered, and provides immediate answers for many common and uncommon questions and concerns. The logical presentation and case studies facilitate acquiring or enhancing key developer's skills before critical project concerns arise and need resolution in real time. Although some entries are brief, they serve to identify topics for further consideration. A very useful resource for the novice (and experienced) developer that wants a concise, portable reference to project issues and activities. I can't thank Mr. Noe enough for his fine Guide. I have recommended it to my associates in real estate development and construction, and also to professors who are teaching courses in project management.

I am a retired commercial broker, who practiced for thirty years in the Bay Area. Without any doubt, this book is the best one I have ever read concerning the whole range of development problems along with logical answers. This book is a "must" for anyone contemplating development of any kind. Mark Noe really deserves six stars instead of five. I am excitely looking forward to his next book.
Best Handbook on Developing Real Estate

Go/No Go is the best quick reference book I've seen on Real Estate Development. I am a developer and I purchased the book for my son who is a General Contractor. I started leafing through the book and was impressed with the advice and checklists that I could use on a current project. I ended up reading the book (and stealing some ideas) before I sent it to my son. You will find good advice on subjects from entitlement issues through the "C of O" (Certificate of Occupancy). This book will definitely help you remove emotion from your decision on whether you should GO or NO GO with your investment. I also appreciate his breezy style of writing. He reduces legalese to understandable text. I highly recommend this book.

A must have for those endeavoring Real Estate Development

Having read countless material on Real Estate and Development published by the Urban Land Institute and other organizations, I found this book powerful and succinct. It is a rare find to have such a detailed source covering the multitude of disciplines tied to the development process.I found the Permitting Process section and the sample contracts invaluable -- two critical areas in which developers tend to be less proactive. The author has obviously had significant experience in these areas. Above all, I think the book is a tremendous resource as a checklist for conducting prudent due diligence.
