Gone is the Wink

As a believer, as a Christian, what happens when the faith we have lived by is put to the test, and the result is 'it is not functional?' What do we do when the word of God seems incapable of being 'walked out' and we have to 'deal with a tragedy' in our own strength?
When we leave the funeral of a child, the officiating 'men of God' return to their cozy lives. As the former dad and mom are now faced with putting away the crib, and somehow moving forward, something is dreadfully wrong. Those who have taught the word of God seemingly have selective amnesia of Jesus' words, 'Greater works shall you do because I go to my Father.' The stark reality is... Their faith is as powerless as ours. It is not about them, or their career path, as we discover we are the one with a 'beam' in our eye. Not looking at others, in this writing we will find an answer. It is not the tepid cultural doctrines of men, it is the Gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ, up-close and personal.
This writing pulls no punches, it will be offensive to the carnal 'Christian, ' but the path into the heart of God will be clear.
