The goliath tarantula is the largest spider within the world, making it a tantalizing addition to arachnid lovers' puppy collections. Although compelling as a specimen, Goliaths are some of the least friendly puppy spiders. Their care requires the spider be supplied with the right habitat, fed properly, regularly maintained and handled with care. Housing the Giant With a capability leg span of up to 12 inches, the goliath needs a bigger enclosure than most tarantulas. A terrarium of as a minimum 20 gallons is recommended. Both glass and plastic containers work properly, as long as the lid is steady and there's a few ventilation.
