Mere months after the disaster at the Shackleton Moon Base, a deep-sea ore-mining rig goes dark. The crew of Shackleton had tried to throw the monster attacking them into the sun, and failed. Both pilots died, but their ship managed to survive, swing around the sun, and is brought into Earth orbit for investigators to examine. Turns out the sun has basically destroyed the ship.. And yet, something fell from it and splashed down in the Pacific Ocean.

Moon Jae-in has a pretty good idea what that was, and he wants nothing to do with it. That is, until the company gives him an offer he can't refuse. Be their consultant, and all sins are forgiven. He can have his life back. But more than that, maybe he can exercise the monster inside, the one he brought back with him from the Moon, which now lives in his nightmares.
