Long before white men "discovered" America, the Crow chief has a dream: he dreams of a white family coming to the land of his people, to help protect the people and the beautiful golden valley. In 1853, the infant Samuel's father comes, leading a fat cow, asking the chief's permission for his family to live on the land of the people. According to the dream, this valley would be the charge of this white family as long as they lived there. In 2013, someone is seriously trying to frighten Samuel's heirs into leaving Golden Valley.
