His investigation takes him to Tulameen, BC, where he discovers evidence of a modern-day claim-jumping operation that appears Province-wide.
A murdered prospector and criminal behaviour in the gold claim registry office led Healy to mount a pair of attempts to trap the killers into mistakes. But Healy and one of his helpers who make mistakes put his friends and associates in danger. Remorseful and angry with himself, he continues a solo investigation. Not without reason, the fabulously wealthy entity Goldstone Enterprises keeps popping into Healy's search. He keeps pushing at the evil-doers. The results are dangerous.
