Golden Parachute

By V.L. Cooke

Siobhan is a badass midlife warrior with a target on her back...again.

Siobhan Flannery has survived divorce, dragons, and supernatural politics. Apparently, the universe decided she needed another challenge.

Being a Custodian was never part of the plan. Neither was discovering that myths are real, dragons snore, and cougar shifters need a guardian. But after a year of upheaval, Siobhan has accepted that helping supernatural beings stay hidden from humanity is now her job, whether she likes it or not.

This time, the trouble comes from the skies.

When creatures tied to the element of air begin breaking the rules, Siobhan is pulled into a situation that's far bigger than damage control. A meeting with Meriwether, Goddess of Air, exposes dangerous fractures inside the Golden Assembly itself, and suddenly the threat isn't just external. Someone within the organization has decided Siobhan is expendable.
With her partner suspended, the clock ticking toward a life-altering change she can't avoid, and the supernatural world edging dangerously close to exposure, Siobhan is forced to work alone. To survive, she'll have to uncover what the Golden Assembly is really protecting, who truly holds the power, and how far she's willing to fall to protect the people and creatures she's come to care about.

There isn't enough chocolate in the world to soften this midlife crisis.

But Siobhan didn't make it this far by playing it safe.
