Dr.New-Ein-Ga, a renowned scientist of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences ( the embodiment of the Three Great Scientists ), invents a Time Instrument that can traverse space-time when rotational energy is applied. He also authors a major work titled 《 Science Canon 》 (科經). His students preserve The Science Classic as a golden book for permanence. Dr.New discovers that when the golden book and the Time Instrument rotate together, they amplify space-time energy, enabling people and objects to be transported across time.
After the "9/11 attacks", Dr.New is falsely accused. Forced to flee the research institute with his students, he escapes alone-carrying the golden 《 Science Canon 》 and the Time Instrument-into space-time to evade capture.
He arrives in the Middle East around 8000 BCE. After enduring a great flood, he is swept by its force into another space-time jump, landing on the Mediterranean coast of Africa around 5500 BCE, among primitive tribes. Following inter-tribal conflicts, he is compelled to flee to Egypt, then the most advanced civilization of the time.
Dr.New learns Egyptian and helps the reigning pharaoh Jes-Sha-Mu ( the embodiment of the Three Great Religious Leaders ) defeat his uncle. The two become sworn brothers. Jeshemu possesses an ancestral golden book called 《Statecraft Canon 》(典經). Later, when Jes-Sha-Mu is hunted by his own brother in a struggle for the throne, he and Dr.New enter a pyramid. With the aid of pyramid energy, they travel to China around 3000 BCE.
In China they meet Con-Lao-Zhuang ( formerly named Kong Lao-Zhuang, son of the Yellow Emperor; the embodiment of the Three Great Philosophers). Dr.New and Jes-Sha-Mu help defeat a southern chieftain, and the three form a Trinitarian brotherhood. After the death of the old Yellow Emperor, the ancestral golden book 《Origins Canon》 (本經) and the throne are passed to Kong Lao-Zhuang. Soon after, the Yellow Emperor's sons fight for succession; Kong Lao-Zhuang is forced to flee with Dr.New and Jes-Sha-Mu. They escape into a lake and are swept into space-time once more.
Thereafter, the three journey through the Maya world around 500 BCE, Australia in 2050 CE, the future Solar System around 5000 CE, and the Galactic Center around 8000 CE.
The novel is fast-paced and epic in scope-filled with peril and drama, spanning vast spaces and long epochs, and encompassing many peoples and cultures. The protagonists' spirit of exploration and indomitable will elevate the wisdom of Solar-System humanity, culminating in the highest honor of Galactic civilization: the Golden Classic Award (典金經).
