Book Overview

Chris LeDoux was a rodeo icon, known for his ability to ride bareback horses and a world championship. But Chris also had a talent with a guitar and an ability to put the life and thoughts of a rodeo cowboy into song. With the help of his family Chris started selling audio-cassettes out of his rigging bag at rodeos, just as a way to help pay his way down the road. Little did he or anyone else know that after he hung up his bareback rigging and stowed...

True Coyboy Country

A must have for all Chris fans- and rodeo addicts everywhere! Very well writen and thought out. After reading this book, it is obvious that Chris LeDoux writes from the heart. He is in a class of his own.

The way Rodeo used to be

This book is the truth about the way Rodeo used to be. All of the stories keep you wanting to read more and more and not put it down. You get to know Chris from the time when he was getting his first horse all the way through till he was a World Champion. I have been a fan of Chris LeDoux Music for many years and after reading the book you relate alot of the song to his own experiences of stories that where told during the book. If you are intersted in music by Chris LeDoux or just wana have a good time reading about an old rodeo cowboy this is the book for you.

Cange the way you think about rodeo cowboys forever.

I bought this book a few years ago when I was at the National High School Finals Rodeo, in Gillette Wyoming. I went with a friend to watch. After reading the book I was so Pumped up I vowed to make it back to Gillette not to watch but to ride. And the next year I did just that. I made it in the steerwrestling as Louisiana Reserve Champion for 1994. The very next year I returned again but this time as Louisiana State Champion. If you rodeo or like rodeo I urge you to read this book you'll love it! If you want to know more about it email me at Jared.J.West@usa.conoco.com

A real life review of rodeo.

This has to be the first book that really caught my attention. I've never been one for reading much, but this book kept me awake till early hours of the morning because I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. It has also given me a few ideas on how to play pranks on rodeo buddies. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is curious about rodeo both as a living and as a sport. I thought that I wouldn't be interested in this book because Chris was a bareback rider and I ride bulls, but that is only a minor detail in the main plot of the story. It's grrrrrrrreat!!(Tony the Tiger impression)

If you want to know what rodeo life is all about, read this

If you rodeo, like I do and you read this book it will make you want to enter every rodeo in the country. This book gave me more inspiration than anything ever in my entire life. I read this book my sophmore year in high school on the way back from High School National Finals Rodeo, where I had purchaced it at the Chris Ledeux concert. I went there with a friend whom had made the finals. I was so inspired by the book that I made up my mind right then and there that I would make it to the Finals myself if it were the last think I did! Over the next year I worked very hard, practicing every chance I got not only did I make the state finals but I won Reserve State Champion, and made the National Finals. The next year I won State Champion and also made the finals, even to this day since I read the book no mater how much I win I always know that with more effort the sky is the limit. I honestly believe that someday I will be a World Champion like Chris Ledeux, and I ab! solutely will not give up until that day. I truly believe that Chris Ledeux is one of the Great American Cowboy Heros, and I know there are many other rodeo cowboys out there who feel the same way I do. Do yourself a favor and "READ THIS BOOK".
