Excellent first book about Christianity

This is the book that introduced me to Christian doctrine when I was 9 years old. I still give it high marks. The cartoons and diagrams make the main points easy to remember. The author has a good sense of what is important and what is not, so she doesn't get into trouble by going off on controversial side-topics. The overall perspective is dispensationalist, similar to the Scofield Study Bible, but the author uses dispensationalism as a way of organizing history rather than as a key doctrine, so non-dispensationalists will probably not have problems with the book. If a person is going to read only one book to find out what Christians believe, this is a good choice.

Best Book I Own!

This is the best book I have ever read! I take it almost everywhere that I take my Bible. It explains the gift of salvation and the assurance of eternal life clearly and lots lots more about heaven, hell, etc. It is my favorite book, and I have a ton of books, especially books explaining the Bible! It is an excellent book for believers in Jesus Christ and for non-believers as well! I just can't say enough about the simplicity, clarity and truthfulness of this book!

A most profound and yet easy to understand book on the Bible

I'm a Bible college graduate and even though I own about 5,000 books (most of them Biblically related, I continue to be amazed at the value of this book, produced more than 40 years ago!The drawings that illustrate the truths taught in this book make it one of the best values in the marketplace. This would be true, even if the cost were ten times greater.The subtitle of this book is "Bird's-Eye-View" Bible Course and that is so very accurate. In fact, I'll be so bold as to say that anyone who reads this book will have gained more knowledge than many do who have gone though some of our modern-day Bible Colleges! I've certainly met many pastors who haven't yet understood how to communicate God's Word as clearly and precisely as Mrs. Friederichsen does.Anyone who has a desire to both know and communicate God's Word more clearly will find this book to be a very wise and sound investment. In fact, I believe you'll cherish it as long as you live. What more can I say?
