The real book of the millenium: truth and life

There are very few books that I have read that have covered the meaning of life as comprehensively as this one. If ever there was a modern book that could be called the book of the millenium, this is it. It was refreshing how Dennis Gunn doesn't tell the reader what to believe, but encourages us in a personal way to explore the spiritual aspects of life for ourselves. The truth of Scriptures are revealed in a systematic and direct way, pointing to this time as being significant. I also enjoyed reading about what he shares regarding evolution, history and the theory of relativity. The best way I could describe his approach is metaphysical without the mystery, not overcomplicated yet profound. It covers and examines all realms of human existence with a logic I found to be undeniable. In doing so, a real wisdom is shown in the pages, showing how each of us can enter into the understanding of God's plan and how we fit in His will. It was also awesome to contemplate the revolutionary view of Christianity he presents. Revolutionary because it is different from standard religious theology without being critical, and reveals who Jesus is and what He meant by what He said. Also revolutionary because it revolves around and back to the meaning of a single word -- Christ -- which has changed my life as a Christian forever. This book really is timeless because each line has such intensity, as it is based on the Word of God. I can honestly say there is something for everyone in this book. It is a book about life and will meet you where you are. Just try browsing through the table of contents. I highly recommend it for those who are searching for a deeper meaning to life.

New Hope revealed as the mysteries are unlocked!

I have read Dennis Gunn's spiritually profound work, "God's Plan for Man -Who is the Messiah-Christ" for the third time. I cannot recall another book which has proved to be so edifying and full of hope. Each time I read this work, it was as if a new insight was being unlocked. Mr.Gunn's spiritual revelations gently invite the reader to ponder God's love in a new and unique way. These incredible insights explain the Father's plan for salvation and deliverance in a way never understood before, but now revealed in these intense times. This is a special publication which promises to offer rich rewards of comprehension and insight to a heart which is searching to find meaning in a world wherein individual dignity or worth is in question. My sense of self and awareness of purpose has been enhanced through digestion of this work. Mr. Gunn encourages the reader to persevere through the initial chapters of this book. In doing so, the author states that the floodgates of understanding will be opened as the Holy Spirit will bring together the key elements of this revealed plan. That comprehension will be an individual experience of the heart and mind and one will feel exhilarated as wisdom opens the eyes to comprehend scriptural references of the Old and New Testaments. The results will be that one can appreciate what God intended and intends for mankind. The mosiac of this plan comes together in a way that you will find remarkable. As a result of reading this book, I feel blessed and in awe of the loving providential Will of God who is revealing in these special times His love for all of mankind.....His beckoning call to seek the kingdom.......

The most amazing book written for "Our Time"!

I wanted to let you know about an amazing book which I am reading for the umpteenth time. God's Plan for Man, Who is the Messiah--Christ? by Dennis A. Gunn. I have spent most of my life searching--trying to find answers to my questions about life and God and truth and--just about everything! Never before has anyone been able to direct me to where all truth is, and to help me understand what the Bible is saying. Until now. Like most people, I had tried many times to read the Bible. I just couldn't do it. I always got bored and never really understood what it was saying anyway. Dennis A. Gunn has definitely been given a gift by God to help people understand what Jesus meant by what He said. He helped me so much to go deeper into the original meaning of a word, to find the essence of what things really mean. When I read the Bible now, it makes sense! It is a practical guidebook for how I should be living, too. But I had to do some work, too--I had to shake a few of my preconceived ideas, and humble myself to listen long enough to understand and see the simplicity of what God/Jesus wants from each one of us. I was raised in a very tradition-filled religion, so the contents were a bit different than what I expected, but when I let the Spirit of God enter and I trusted, my heart was illuminated and I was able to understand more and more. My religion began to make more sense, and I began to understand God's message in a practical but very deep way. I hope everyone on Earth will read this book, and ask God to give them understanding and wisdom to be able to comprehend the Truth. The time we are living in is so very important. And God has given this one man the wisdom to be able to help others open their eyes and hearts. 'What a Joy'! God never sent the flood without the Ark. And, just as in days past, He wants us to know His plan. Read this book and then you will know, too. He is a loving Father, and wishes that all His children choose to be saved. But it's your choice--will you listen?

Understandable & spiritual analysis of what lies ahead

It CAN make sense: this book has the truth!

I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy the book God's Plan for Man:Who is the Messiah-Christ. Although I have read the book through, I continue to pick it up and read a section here or a section there and each time I get something new out of it. For instance, I found the section on the dignity of women to be very uplifting - it does not condescend or blame. This makes it different from other things I have read on the role of women. It explains how that dignity has spiritual implications and underscores the true equality of the sexes. The exploration of Biblical prophecies in Chapter 4 helped me put together different sections in the Bible to make a more complete picture of God's plan in time. Understanding more about the OT prophesies, what Jesus meant by what he said and how it all fits together in time(s) can open whole new doors of understanding. Ch 4 primarily focuses on OT, selected figures ranging from Noah to Malachi. I found this excerpt from the section on Noah particularly moving: "No one else heard what Noah heard, and no one knew what Noah actually heard. His actions confirmed he indeed heard and understood. Only afterwards....was it obvious to the others, for their deliverance was directly dependent upon their trust of Noah..." This book is not limited to Scripture, though it is Biblically centered and there are quotations woven throughout. It even explains Einstein's theory of relativity in a powerful way that makes sense from a spiritual point of view. I am not an expert in this area, but I found the connection to be yet another that points to how God CAN and DOES make sense!But the best part of the book for me is the end, where it talks about Rebuilding the city of God. The author says it is an offer you cannot refuse and he is right! Everyone knows the times we live in are special but very, very few can explain why or give such practical hope. When I finished the last five chapters of this book I wasn't afraid any more, but hopeful and desiring to make "spirituality is practicality" a true statement in my life. I say practical hope because the hope I came away with was hope that was founded in a better understanding of who God is, the promises He has given and what He meant by what He said. It wasn't pie in the sky. He says "God's solution to life's dilemmas results in peace...and peace for every individual is His desire. Unfortunately for most choice bring about a different outcome" even if the pretense is peace. I got a better understanding of why the latter statement is so and now I am able to correct it within myself. The difference this alone can make is big because "peace is the only path upon which the truth walks."If you buy this book you will not be sorry. It is a challenging book, there are still things I think about and reread, and I think that is good. Some things in here may make us not so comfortable and as we encounter our misunderstandings along the way, but work
