The work discusses the deities from Jecha until Wodan and in the afterword a few more disputable names of deites are presented. The scientific information is accompanied with many new myths and a rich amount of illustrations. The term 'myths' is used in its widest sense: here, stories are meant with a historical 'touch' in which is shown how in ancient times people possibly could have experienced their deities in allday life. All together it presents a much more vivid presentation than solely dry scholarly information could offer. This volume contains 344 pages with 83 illustrations in black/white (graytones).
