The hymn "O Love, How Deep," drawn from the Devotio moderna movement of the fifteenth century, opens for us a way of meditating on the life and death and life again of our Lord Jesus Christ. It connects us to how Martin Luther and many others saw the life of God, especially through the repetition of the phrase "For us."
