All throughout the Bible, God used animals, plants, insects and other thingsin nature to help us have a better understanding of the things around us tograsp the points being made. These were used as metaphors, similes andanalogies.As Job was being criticized and mocked, the Word states "But now ask thebeasts, and they will teach you, and the birds of the air, and they will tellyou, Or speak to the earth and it will teach you, and the fish of the seas willexplain to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of theLord has done this." (Job 12:7-9 NKJV). God clearly intends for us to have abetter understanding of His Word by using the things we can see and knowin his creation.--John Allen
