Little did Cori know, but her wishes have been adding up. On her third unintentional call to the genie, she is thrust into a life that might have been-if she had never been recruited by Danato to work in his prison.
Cori's new life is surreal. Her mother is alive and well, never having succumbed to the cancer that killed her. Not only is Cori free of her life as an indentured servant, but she is apparently happily engaged to the man standing next to her.
At another time, this scenario might have appealed to her, but at the moment, all she can think about is what she's lost. Somewhere far away are three men she loves with all her heart and she must return to them.
Cori says a final heart-wrenching goodbye to her mother and sets out to restore her life to what it was meant to be. But when she returns to the prison, she's met not with relief-but with suspicion and hostility. To them, she's a stranger, and earning the trust of three cautious men is only her first obstacle.
Somehow she has to convince a demi-god to release her from her wish reality without insulting his gifts. And to make matters worse, the woman who took her place seems just as attached to the prison as Cori.
If only she had a few more wishes.
