The book "Goddess Earth" really opened my eyes about why the environmental movement is growing so rapidly in America and around the world. We should be taking care of the environment, but certain elements in the environmental movement should be of great concern to all of us. This book is heavily documented with quotes from Al Gore's "Earth in the Balance" and from other highly influential people such as Ted Turner who promote government control of the earth and its people as the only successful means to protect the environment. "Goddess Earth" also shows how earth (Gaia) worship is being promoted in children's cartoons and videos, in classroom discussions on the environment, and in the media. Paganism, witchcraft, and native American rituals are becoming widely acceptable, all in the name of the environment. This book reveals how many churches and religious organizations have gotten on the "green" bandwagon, because it is considered one of the today's hottest "politically correct" movements. When you read "Goddess Earth," you'll realize that much of what as known as the modern environmental movement is really a dangerous tool to brainwash chilren (and adults), encourage them to "voluntarily" give up their rights and freedoms, and submit willingly to increased government control, all in the name of "protecting the environment." I feel that "Goddess Earth" is a tremendous wake-up call to Christians and other concerned citizens, and I highly recommend this book. We must all be involved in spreading the truth rather than fiction about the environment.
