Born in Ogun, Nigeria, Adeola Oreoluwa Adefeso had a happy childhood. Raised by her maternal grandparents, she was well-loved, received a solid education, and became a member of her local choir.

However, life soured for Adeola when she found herself a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her husband. While navigating her way through emotional and physical abuse, she tragically lost two twin boys, born prematurely.

During 2019, Oluwafemi, her second-born son and ex-marine, committed suicide. Adeola learned that her ex-husband had written unprintable things about her online, even insinuating that she was responsible for the death of their son.
