God Speaks

This book has five chapters that set the stage for all the other books. It focuses on opening its readers to all of the potential ways God speaks. As all the other books deal with recognizing and interpreting God's speech, book one lays the foundation and framework for good doctrine and healthy interpretation. CHAPTER one is, "You must be Born Again" aims to remove presumptions about the ways God might communicate and introduces them to the foundational yet often unknown ways through which God has and continues to speak. CHAPTER two is, "God Speaks through His Scripture" and shows students how to search the scriptures both to obtain God's general thoughts (theology) as well as to obtain faith. CHAPTER three is, "God Speaks through His Spirit" and shows students how normal hearing directly from the Spirit should be. CHAPTER four is, "God Speaks through His Son," and aims to establish the foundation of all good interpretation which is Christ Himself, the ultimate source of understanding God. CHAPTER five is, "His Word Empowers" and shows students all the things promised to those who hear and act on God's words.
