For generations, African American men and women have faced terrible hardships in the form of systemic racism, police brutality and other forms of discrimination. Many of them turned to Christianity as a source of solace, while others turned to Islam. Geraldine Lebrun, a young Haitian-American woman attending Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, has different plans. Fed up with both Eurocentric Christianity and racism, Geraldine turns to the Religions of her African Ancestors.
