God Is Pro-Choice

Our modern society upholds and values opportunity, options, and freedom of choice. Yet when it comes to our ideas and feelings about God, it seems that God has come under trial as to whether He values, supports, cherishes or affirms our desire for freedom and free choice as much as we do. Of course He does - and more so. Our volition came straight from Him, designed out of His very own personal constitution. It is like Him to have free choice; therefore He gave it to us and values and honours it. Yet many of us wonder about that. Some fear, some doubt, some have embraced the lie that He is against human freedom of choice. Some have sided with their mistaken concept of God and have begun a campaign against human freedom of choice. On the other side of the same coin, others have begun a campaign of defiance against God - based on the mistaken notion that He is against human freedom and free choice. However, our freedom of choice is never in defiance of God's will After all, He is the One who created choice, and gave us a will and the ability to choose. God so values our freedom of choice that He gives us all the information we need, and then lets us choose anything. At times His high valuation on free choice is downright risky and scary. He gets accused for being against our freedom, and yet He also gets blamed for allowing evil when we see the results of many of the free choices we have freely made. The anti-coercion God of freedom, choice, and authentic love will even allow us to choose to rebel against Himself Life as humans is all about choices - and God is all about human freedom to choose. God is indeed authentic love. God is pro choice.
