God Counts: Numbers in His Word and His World

By Irene Sun

God Counts is a beautifully illustrated introduction to theology that helps children discover how numbers and patterns reveal the glory of God.

In this engaging book, Irene Sun invites young readers into a world where counting becomes a pathway to knowing God more deeply. Through simple language and interactive illustrations, children explore how numbers appear in creation and Scripture--learning that the God who orders the universe also knows and cares for every detail of their lives, from the stars in the sky to the hairs on their heads.

Blending foundational theological truths with a playful, number-focused approach, this book introduces big ideas like God's holiness, the problem of sin, and the love of Jesus in ways that are accessible and memorable. As families read and explore together, children begin to see that numbers don't just help us understand the world--they point us to a greater story of redemption and a God who lovingly counts them as his own.
