As I reviewed the twenty psalms in this sixth volume, I noticed a recurring theme: these Psalms reveal the beauty of God's salvation. No other religion has its deity become an actual human being to save their people, except Christianity. Our most holy and righteous God became our sin so that we could become His righteousness. He did so because He loved us and wanted to reconcile us to a sacred relationship with Him (2 Corinthians 5:17-21). This sixth volume opens with the superlative holiness of God (Psalm 99) and ends with triumphant thanks for His mercy in becoming our salvation (Psalm 118). In the other Psalms between these two, you will discover the reality of the prophesied salvation of God's plan. The holiness of God demands that we become holy to have a relationship with Him. Yet, had God not become flesh, we would be without hope. Thankfully, the writer of Hebrews reveals that our High Priest, Jesus Christ, "became us" to redeem and save us from our sins (Hebrews 7:26).
