"This was the goblin protagonist I didn't know I needed. Hilarious, dark, and surprisingly emotional. Can't wait for book 2 " - Amazon reviewer
New Status: Unrecognized Entity
Goblin Peon No. 49 is a level-one nobody. A disposable NPC at the very bottom of the dungeon food chain.
Then his script glitches. He gets a character class, attributes, a user interface-and even a name: "Rook."
Stalked by the god-like System and guided (sort of) by a giant, pot-bellied rat with delusions of grandeur, Rook stumbles into a quest that could change everything: recover three memory shards with the power to turn an NPC into a player character.
Unfortunately, this dungeon isn't especially supportive of personal growth. Along the way, Rook will encounter goblin-sized blenders, malevolent (and chatty) ancient artifacts, demons repurposed as transportation hubs, hallucinatory giant mushrooms, and trolls with a very specific skincare routine.
If Rook wins, he'll become a player character in a world designed to kill him. If he loses... well, the dungeon has plenty of uses for spare goblin parts.
Goblin Peon No. 49 is a darkly comic LitRPG/progression fantasy for fans of Dungeon Crawler Carl, He Who Fights with Monsters, and Defiance of the Fall.
Warning: rude language, fantasy violence, and goblin philosophy.
