Goatman and the Day of Legends is set in the near future where environmental degradation has continued across the world. During summer vacation, five young friends go in search of Goatman, a legendary character of local Vermont folklore, whom they believe lives nearby. While on the their exploration, the five friends have a series of funny adventures. Besides finding Goatman,they discover a series of dead animals on the roadside. They meet Monty, a stranger that offers to show them some true legendary creatures. Monty is on a mission and requires the assistance of the five friends in order to succeed. Goatman and the Day of Legends offers subtle lessons in environmental damage, mythology, history and natural history. It is a profile of how young friends can come together, resolve their conflicts and stay true to their task.
