This is no run of the mill devotional

If you think God doesn't care about you and every aspect of your life- I invite you to read this book. It's set up in sections with subtopics for a quick read (a page or two) on a subject. Not lengthy and boring. Joni basically opens up her life experiences with God and invites you to see His "Glorious Intrusions" in her life. It's not about religious mumbo jumbo- it's about Joni's own personal journey in relationship with a real, loving Spiritual Father. I've had this book for many years and still go back to it, time and time again. It is a source of encouragment to me. We all need to be encourged- this book will do that and much more. I hope you get this book and read it- you won't be sorry.

'When God intrudes, may you always see it as glorious.' Joni helps us to view things from God's perspective. She reminds us to look beyond our circumstances to a God that is in control of everything. This is a lovely devotional. It is undated and could be used a small section at a time. It is ideal to give to somoene who is unwell and or stuggling with life. It has ten sections/ themes: 1- Waiting- Trusting a God who loves beyond time 2- Praise- A thankful heart in a world of hurt 3- Obedience- Coming back to His control 4- Focus- Looking to Jesus when life gets confused 5- Trust- Relying on God's control when things fall apart 6- Suffering- When God's gift's come wrapped in pain 7- Mystery- a God beyond comprehension 8- Significance- believing God will use me 9- Perseverance- God's partnership in life's marathon 10- Assurance- God's personal Involvement in My life
