Vision & Enthusiasm to Get out of our Cosmic Egg

"What is it, this kingdom of God? Is the kingdom of God an ideal political order? is it the church? the city of Jerusalem? heaven? Is it the world now, or the world to come?" Joseph Donders Global Spirituality: Fr. Joseph Donders aims to return us back to an ever new wholistic spirituality, that can only spring from an honest faith, that trusts, ponders, and shares our universal human experience. The challenge to be faithful to one's self and one's beliefs and at the same time appreciative of the diversity of the convictions of those we encounter. Themes of Engagement: His strategy is to reveal to us, the variety of trenches we hide in, to help us unfolding within ourselves, out of the entrenched individualism; in scholastic dogmatism, liberated righteousness, or contemporary personalism. Then, he calls us to restore our inner quietness, or stillness, as was defined by the Desert Fathers. He is helping us to liberate our will and clear our vision for the advent of the Cosmic Christ, Lord Jesus the Nazarine. Fr. Donders preaches that since we are icons of Jesus, we have his light, and invokes the light from within. Fr. Donders uses novel expressions to postmark his mission; Dogmatic blindness, Concrete polarization, The Cosmic egg, the mystical spiral, the Eucharist as a breakthrough, Jesus and Man-Woman, Love as energy, the Banquet speech, Lord of the dance. He concludes with the new imitation of Jesus, differentiating between the impossible and the possible, and contrasting the inward journey with the outward one. Dr. Joseph Donders, M.Afr.: Fr. Donders, priest and poet, is Professor Emeritus, Mission Studies, at Washington Theological Union, a member of the Society of Missionaries of Africa. He is a native of the Netherlands, and received his Ph.D. from the Gregorian University, in Rome. An award-winning author of many books as, Jesus the Stranger (US National Book Award), Non-bourgeois Theology; Charged with the Spirit; he has lectured, taught, and presented retreats in many places around the world.
