Gorgeous

I remember owning this book as a child and loved the illustrations. After my book began falling apart due to excessive reading and love I tore the page out that is actually featured as the cover picture. I kept it with me constantly. Imagine my delight to know that this book was available again (I had previously only found it used from Ebay) and immediately bought it along with the other installments in the story of Flutterby. The story is very bittersweet, as mentioned already, and it has always bothered me, even as a child, that the father loses his family and is seemingly left all alone. I think that is why I loved the one illustration so much because it showed them all together and happy. But I suppose the story does reflect life in that perfection does not always last and happiness does come at a cost (not sure if that was what was intended). I would still recommend this book and strongly urge to own the series as the artwork is amazing, the stories are well thought out and morally appropriate, and the prices are exceptional. A parent does not have to worry about adult references and can leave a child to his or imagination in Serendipity's beautiful world of animals.

The story has a bittersweet ending, for the stallion known as Nitter-Pitter also has to suffer loss.An amazing tale and beautifully drawn.

Wonderful book with beautiful illustrations.

Glitterby Baby is the offspring of a male horse and a female pegasus. The mother is faced with the realization that she may have to leave her baby behind with the father when she must return to her home, because Glitterby cannot fly. She does not want to lose both of them, but it looks as though that is the only option.
