Glimmers of Gratitude

Once upon a time, in a small village nestled among lush green hills, there lived a wise old man. One evening, as he sat by the flickering light of a candle, a young child approached him, curious to know the secrets held within that tiny flame. The old man smiled and began to share his wisdom. He said, 'My child, the candle teaches us many lessons. First, it reminds us that even the smallest light can dispel darkness. Just as one candle can illuminate a room, a single act of kindness can bring light to the world.' 'Furthermore, ' continued the old man, 'the candle teaches us the virtue of sacrifice. As it burns and melts away, it gives us light and warmth. It reminds us that true happiness often requires us to give of ourselves to others. We must be willing to sacrifice comfort and convenience in order to bring joy and warmth to those around us.' And so, the child left the wise old man with a newfound understanding, carrying the lessons of the candle in their heart.
