Not his best work

Although Pink is thoroughly versed in Scripture and other sacred writings, his opinions on numerous passages of the Pauline epistles fall short of the mark. He also quotes from several Arminian writers which I found disturbing.

PRAYERS OF PAUL

An exellent work on the prayers of Paul, if you enjoy thoroughly detailed writing. I mean it takes 2 chapters for Colossians 1:11-12. Even if you don't agree with all Pink's theology, I believe you will still gain much from reading his books. He omits the prayer of Hebrews 13:20, 21, but that is contained in his book "A Guide to Fervent Prayer."

Pink's Primer on Paul's Prayers

A.W. Pink was a one of a kind preacher/teacher/writer. Almost ignored at the time of his death in 1951, his writings on the study of the scriptures are more timely now than ever before. His work on the prayers of the great Apostle Paul are absolutely priceless. This highly meditative book demonstrates great scholarship as well as piety. A must for the serious prayer warrior. This book will also shame lazy intercessors, only to further encourage and empower them. Here is a volume to treasure and refer back to in the years ahead.

A Highly Necessary and Useful Work

I highly recommend Pink's fine study of the Pauline prayers. In a day when prayer is badly misunderstood and abused, this fine study of the apostolic example of prayer in Paul's writings provides a much needed balance. You will truly be blessed as you consider the fact that the Apostle did not pray for worldly blessings but true spiritual blessings that abide for eternity.
