Child's "Eye" View

I work in an optometric office, and we purchased two copies for our waiting area. This book gives not only accurate descriptions of vision issues that our young patients may have, but also describes in quite un-scary language, with great illustrations, what a detailed eye exam will involve, including receiving the drops to dilate their eyes. It sends the message that, although the equipment used may be quite intimidating to the young patients, the end result, improved eyesight, is indeed a blessing.

Excellent

Ran across this cute book in Waiting Room. Thought it was excellent. Had my children needed glasses this would have been a "must share" with them.

A creative, child friendly tale that should help any child suffering from vision problems have a better understanding of his/her situation. Beautifully illustrated and fun to read. I've recommended this book to several parents. My entire family enjoyed sharing this book together.

Fun to read ..... and great resources for parents too!

My kids and I love reading this book together. I was really impressed with the extensive resource list the author put in the back of the book. Great book, even if you don't have or need glasses.

A must-read before your child visits the eye doctor!

This sweet story of a boy who needs glasses is the perfect book to read to a child who will be visiting the optometrist. I read it to my class of first and second graders, and all were enthralled. Those children who had already visited an eye doctor were especially eager to share their personal connections to the story. You don't need to wear glasses, however, to enjoy this heartwarming story of a special relationship between mother and child.
