I BOUGHT THIS BOOK FOR MY DAUGHTER THAT HAD GOTTEN CAUGHT UP IN A RELATIONSHIP THAT WAS BECOMING ABUSIVE. THANK GOD, SHE HAD ENOUGH SENSE TO LEAVE!!! HOWEVER, ONCE SHE HAD DONE THAT, SHE CAME TO LATER REALIZE THAT SHE WAS PREGNANT! WHEN SHE DID SPEAK TO THE FATHER, HE DENIED IT AND STATED THAT HE HAD NO INTENTIONS OF PAYING CHILD SUPPORT!!!! The author Middleton, an attorney, didn't leave anything to ponder and adequately outlined areas such as when you should file for child support, how to find the missing in action father, your rights as a mother, knowing certain information about him while you're in a relationship in case the relationship goes south, and the expectations of court proceedings and the ultimate outcome. She also addresses the scorned women's abuses of the courts to get back at the father for leaving especially if it's for another woman.
