Great Book

Just to comment on James LeMay's comment. I respect his opinion, but I think he is way off in saying those remarks about this book. It has a very in-depth plot with many twists and turns. The characters are fully developed, and the whole point of the book is finding Ginger, so therefore it is the overall main idea, with many subplots. I am in 10th grade and still love this book, as well as all of Eleanor Estes' other books. For a Newberry Award winning author, that previous review doesn't do this book justice. I am also a fan of Agatha Christie's mysteries, Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt novels, and Jules Verne's many writings. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good, relaxing book.

Ginger Pye is the best......

I read Ginger Pye while I was on vacation, and my friends were in the ocean and I couldn't put Ginger Pye down! Ginger Pye is about a family and the kids want a dog, the people down the road are selling puppies for $1. They help out a friend by dusting pews in the church and they receive a dollar for doing so. They go and get the puppie, but there is someone else who wants the same one, and that kid ends up stealing Ginger from their backyard. Then they have their friends and family looking for Ginger and they finally find her locked in a shed with no food or water! The kid that stole the dog was going to bring Ginger to the circus, but when they found her the house was empty with nobody and nothing in it.

The Best Dog Book I've Ever Read!

Ginger Pye is about a boy named Jerry and his sister Rachel. When Jerry decides he wants a dog, Rachel, Uncle Bernie, and him work so hard to earn a dollar to buy the smartest pup in town. On there way home from grandma's with the puppy a mysterious footstepper was following them. Then on Thanksgiving Day Ginger Pye is stolen. Could Ginger have been stolen by the mysterious footstepper? Or someone else? Where is Ginger Pye and will the Pye family ever get back their smart pup?

Couldn't put it down!

I loved this book!!! I was required to read 2 books over the summer for school. I finished them early, and my mom told me to get another book for when there is nothing to do someday. I started reading it, and I couldn't put it down. I loved this book. It is about a brother and sister to work hard to get their dog, Ginger. 1 day he is stolen and they look for him every where. I am not telling to much about the book because I am not going to give it away. All I have to say it that it is a great book, and I reccomend it to everyone!

Action packed! fun! fun! fun!

In the book Ginger Pye Jerry is just some normal boy who is trying to figure out how to buy a puppy. Once Jerry has the dog he can't stop thinking about him. Jerry is really the kind of character who just can't stand not being around his dog. He loves him so much. Half of the time Jerry tries to figure out what has happened to Ginger and can't fid him. Jerry loves to have a perfect day and that's impossible without his dog. Jerry is one of those characters who grabs your body and tells you the story in a very exciting way.All of the best feelings you can think of, Jerry is almost two of them at once. I absolutely adored the book Ginger Pye because the book was very exhilarating, funny, and everything about the boook was unique. The book was very enjoyable. I would recommend the book to anyone who likes a lot of action. This book can take every single bit of time of your day until you finish it. It's just so exciting
