Aamzing woman

I thoroughly enjoyed this biography of an amazing canadian woman. Her writing is beautiful, and many full essays are included in this book. I read some to my young daughter who was also charmed by the writing. Gilean Douglas is an inspiration to lovers of Nature, and I particularly recommend it to woman interested in conservation. Her ten years living in an isolated mountain cabin were particularly insightful. The biography is well written, and entertaining. It portrays not only the talents and strengths of this woman, but also her weaknesses and pains. It is clear that a life of ups and downs can reap beautiful rewards, such as Gilean Douglas' writing.I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I would give it 5 stars, but I will save those for the books written by Gilean Douglas!
