Gigolos

It's the 1980s and the redundancy notice has just gone up in the shipyard. Ally and Simmo take their severance pay and head for Amsterdam, where they are duped into buying a run-down bar in French Polynesia.

The hapless duo doggedly set off for the South Pacific to renovate the bar, and 'Gigolos' is born. As they gradually come to terms with the realities of running a business in a country where you can't speak the language and the officialdom is corrupt, Ally and Simmo find themselves drawn into the cloak and dagger world of island espionage where some tough decisions must be made. They have only one weapon with which to combat this adversity: an ironic sense of humour. Their story is funny, poignant and occasionally violent, as it tells the tale of two ordinary men just trying to make the best of life whatever it continues to throw at them.
