You will find this verse scattered throughout this devotional. There is nothing you or I can do to get to heaven except to accept Jesus into our hearts and thank Him for the perfect sacrifice He made for us on the cross.

There must be blood shed for forgiveness of sin, and Jesus didn't need forgiveness because He never sinned. It was shed for you; it was shed for me. He loves you that much, enough to die for you

There is no amount of books that I could write, no amount of money I could give to a worthy cause, no amount of good works I could do to pay for my sin.

Romans 3:23 tells us that we all have sinned and fall short. Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
