Jeff Ramsey, Sr. and his wife Cindy were in the ministry together for over 30 years. Ramsey began his ministry as Youth Pastor of the church he and Cindy grew up in. His youth ministry was prayer-focused and centered around his Repairers of the Breach Ministries where he and his students interceded weekly for their families, friends, and their city. It was this ministry, his desire for the supernatural, and his passion for teaching and encouraging others to pray that led him to write this book.

Ramsey ultimately became Pastor of that same church they grew up in. Over the course of his ministry, Ramsey wrote other books on prayer: Praying for Prodigals and Prophetic Prayer. This is an unaltered reprint of Ramsey's original work published in 1997 and is a tribute to the legacy he and his ministry left behind.
