Fierce battle engagements, involving heavily armoured units --- Israeli 46-ton Soltam L-33 tanks, against Russian 44-ton T-34 tanks --- occur in Israeli-occupied Sinai Peninsular and the Golan Heights, and in African Egypt and Israel.
