Prologue to the novel

Ours is a hectic life, a life linked to the frantic directives of consumerism, a life in search of the long-awaited individual happiness. But often, in a coffee break at the bar, we read news of less fortunate people, of wars, of attacks, of collapsing skyscrapers, of broken lives. While we are in our homes, while we have dinner with our families sheltered from the outside world, we often prevent our children from listening to the news on TV because inexorably always proclaims his bulletin of obituaries. A bulletin full of details, like a show. The show of death.
Already.. the talk programs tell endless actions of persecution and follies of the human race. The man and the woman who generate life but this life that generates only death. My question is simple: can istop death?
From all this comes GHOSTS EMPIRE, a work that although fictional tries to give a concrete face to all thisor. No, it's not the usual zombie story, it's not the fight of good against evil. It is the story of our human race: death against life! The death generata daily all over the world ends up conquering it definitively. Etrom is the character who leads the armies of the non-living, in a war already won at the start, against the living. The General .. Etrom, to be precise, simply death written backwards. The question that GHOSTS EMPIRE asks is will life be able to stop it? Life, what a beautiful word, too bad that there is only one ... In Ghosts Empire it is Efil, simply "life" written backwards. Life is man, woman, children .. already children, perhaps, the only weapon against death. Sunny, carefree and free from blind ideologies or religious indoctrination. He sang a song "Mad World" ... Alessandro, Matteo, Francesca, Carolina and Tom these are the protagonists of the story .. perhaps the unwitting heroes of a gripping epic, those who will face the final battle. Maybe...! Before them others, the great ones, have tried but with poor results: Will, Asch, Khiu, Count Leopold, Joseph, Ellen, Pam, Sir Frederick, Fra Benedetto, Fra Settimio and many others ..
Maybe adult strategies to destroy death are not winning or simply not capable of it. Thehead of an adult man is too confused to defeat the death of another man or even to defeat his own. It is true after it is the heavenly paradise. or hell! But hell, now, is on earth and, perhaps, only the deeds of five boys, five future knights of Efil, will be able to extinguish its flames.
Set in England where the knights of great virtues are well placed, it seems to relive the deeds of distant tales, myths and legends that were. Loves, betrayals, jealousies, heroic deeds .. all this will live the protagonists of history, in search of the integrity of the human soul, at the service of life to defeat death.
